YouTube has updated its video player. The controls disappear automatically after a few seconds, as is common with many video services. The controls are also transparent, rather than that they have a solid color.
New Video player for Youtube
Thanks to the changes the icons in the bar with controls are larger and have more contrast, making them more noticeable. However, the ‘View Later’ button is lacking in the new version which was for years in YouTube videos.
In the controls, there are buttons for the resolution, toggles for AutoPlay and notes, and buttons to view the video full screen or skip it entirely. It also appears that sometimes there is no title bar in the video. Users can remove that in the embed code too. There seems to be no way to use the old video player.
