Start here for WITS Login. University of Witwatersrand (WITS), Johannesburg is a public research university in South Africa located in central Johannesburg. It has its roots in the mining industry and was established in 1896 as the South African School of Mines. The university comes third in age after the University of Cape Town and Stellenbosch University. The university has five faculties which are ‘Commerce, Law and Management’, ‘Engineering and the Built Environment’, ‘Health Sciences’, ‘Humanities’ and ‘Science’. Apart from this, the university is also a host to fourteen museums such as Museum of Medicine, Palaeontology Museum etc.

Step-by-Step WITS Login Guide
Please follow the steps below to learn how to sign in on your WITS account. You can apply online for an account if you haven’t already. Visit this page to get started.
Step 1 – Visit the official website
Launch your internet browser and go WITS website. Over there at the top, hover the cursor over ‘Current Students’ and click ‘MyWits’.
Step 2 – Choose the right service
Once you have clicked it, you will be directed to a page from where you can select a number of services.
Step 3 – Enter your details
Let us say you select ‘Student Self Service’, you will then be displayed with another page where you can enter your details and sign in.
Resetting your password
If you want to reset your password you click the ‘reset it’ link on ‘MYWITS’ page below.
After you have clicked the link, you then have to enter your student details to reset your password. Once you have done that, simply click ‘Next’.
