A Nest profile is a must have if you own a Nest Labs product like the thermostat or a smoke detector. Creating an account is free and really easy to do. Go to home.nest.com and click the “Sign up” link.
Enter your email-address and choose a password to complete the registration.
Already have an Nest.com account? Follow instructions below to sign in on your account.
- Open your browser and go to www.nest.com.
- Click on “Control your Nest” in the top right corner to open the login page.
- On the login page, enter your email-address and your password to sign in on your account.
- You should now have access to your account.
Can’t access your account? Try resetting your password to solve the problem. To do this, go to the login page and click the “Forgot password” link.
Now enter your email-address and click on “Reset password” to request a new password.

Delivery of the thermostats began in the fall of 2011. The first batch was sold out within a week.
Since October 2012, the second generation of the nest heating controller has been sold. In January 2014 nest was acquired by Google Inc. for over 3.2 billion US dollars.
