More about Minecraft
A month before the release of the full version on October 18, 2011, a version was released for Android, and on November 17 of the same year the iOS version was released. In 2012, a version of the game was released for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live Arcade. All versions of Minecraft receive constant updates since launch. They have sold 54 million copies.
In Minecraft players can make constructions using cubes with three-dimensional textures, they also can explore the environment, gather resources and create objects with different utilities, fight creatures (called mobs in English) or other players, etc. In its commercial launch the game had two main modes: survival, in which players must acquire resources to maintain their health and hunger; and creative, where players have unlimited access to the resources of the game, they can fly and don’t need to maintain their health and hunger. Regardless of these game modes, users can also set the difficulty of the game. In the most quiet peaceful mode, unlike other difficulties, monsters don’t appear in the game that can interact with the player. There is also a third mode of play, the end (Hardcore), which is similar to survival mode, with the difference that this can only be played on the highest difficulty and the player has only one life, so when the player dies, the game ends.
Minecraft was acquired on September 15, 2014 by Microsoft for 2,500 billion dollars, this event caused the departure of Markus Persson from Mojang.
