List of Phones that will get the Android 6.0 Update

The new Android version is officially called Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has been available since the third quarter of 2015. But which devices can expect the Android 6.0 update? Here’s an overview.

Marshmallow Android 6.0 update summary

We have put together a list of smartphones and tablets which will get the Android 6.0 update – officially confirmed or not. This list will be updated regularly as more is known about Android Marshmallow and the devices to be updated to this version of Google’s operating system.

Between brackets you can see when the update is expected to be rolled out; However, keep in mind that this can still change in the future. Google gradually rolls out each update, which enables you to receive it later. Also, your provider and the manufacturer of your device will affect the speed with which firmware updates are available. Sometimes users with a so-called branded device (a provider) need to have more patience.

Would you like to get a taste of Android 6.0, you can download the Google Now Launcher. This includes not all new features like Google Now on Tap and vertical scrolling app drawer. However, the launcher gives an impression of the look and new wallpapers of Android Marshmallow. Google Now Launcher is also a good replacement for the default launcher on your Android device.
