Instructions for HSBC login. HSBC Holdings plc is a financial services company, established since 1991 in the United Kingdom.
The forerunner of HSBC, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, was founded in 1865 in Shanghai and Hong Kong by Scotsman Thomas Sutherland to finance British trade in the Far East. After the completion of the acquisition of the British Midland Bank and the handover of Hong Kong to the People’s Republic of China, HSBC moved its headquarters to London, where it is housed in the 8 Canada Square (HSBC Tower) in Canary Wharf. Despite HSBC’s departure from Hong Kong, the bank still gets a large portion of the revenues from the areas where the bank was originally founded.
