It is possible for Android users to wake up to their own music. You can do that by making an MP3 file as a ringtone, but some alarm apps also support the ability to select a music file.
To play a song when you wake up, it is important that you put the mp3 file on your phone or tablet. This can be best done in the music or downloads folder, so you can always quickly find it.
This is how you setup an alarm with your music
If you have placed the mp3 file on your tablet or smartphone or downloaded via the mobile device, install an alarm clock app that supports MP3 files. Our favorite is Timely, one of the most used alarm apps for Android. Open the app and go to setting an alarm and press the music icon, which lets you select the downloaded MP3 file. This number will then be played when the alarm goes.
Unfortunately, Spotify still has no alarm clock function added in their app, but there is a detour to set Spotify songs as an alarm. With the app Wakeify you can select the songs you want played at an alarm. The app is free to download but requires a premium subscription to Spotify.
