How to Sign Up For Yahoo Messenger in 3 easy steps
Yahoo is an internet based search engine and e mailing service provider. Yahoo messenger is the instant messaging branch of the company and its internet ecosystem. Yahoo messenger is one of the oldest instant messengers around, and is still one of the most popular. It is super easy to sign up for, all you need is a Yahoo id!
Confused about how to sign up? Have no fear, it’s as easy as one, two, three!
Step One: Go to Yahoo.com
First you need to go the Yahoo website. That’s www.yahoo.com, type that into your address bar and press enter. It should take you to a web page that looks like this:
Step Two: Click on Sign up
Move your mouse over to where it says “sign in” on the top right corner of the page but don’t click your mouse. When you scroll your mouse over the hyperlink this will appear:
Since you are definitely new here, click on “Sign up”!
Step Three: Enter your details
You will now be redirected to a page that has a form on it like this:
Just put in your first name and last name as well as a username you think is suitable. You can try your name, but it will probably already be taken (a username has to be unique), so you can try a common internet trick: use your name, followed by the last two digits of your birth year. For example, if my name was Matthew Perry, and I had been born in 1986, I could try setting firstname.lastname@example.org as my email address. If you use this trick but still haven’t managed to find a unique email address, try replacing some letters with numbers or symbols, for example @ in place of a, 3 in place of e, or 1 in place of i or l. Once you’re done selecting a username, think of a good password. Something easy to remember but hard for people other than you to guess. Now type in your mobile number and date of birth and select your sex, and finally (this is optional) type in the number of a relative in case you need to restart your account and your phone is unavailable. Now click “create account”!
Congratulations! That’s all it took. Now you can sign in to Yahoo Messenger using the account you just created!
